Sloppy Joes

Savory meat sauce perfect for toasted buns, made with green pepper and onion in the slow cooker.

Suggested meat:

1 pound lean ground beef, raw

How to freeze and cook:

  1. Add raw, lean ground beef to freezer bag.

  2. Massage bag lightly until sauce evenly covers ground beef.

  3. Close bag removing as much air as possible.

  4. Freeze flat.

  5. Thaw overnight in fridge.

  6. Dump meat sauce into slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until beef is cooked through.

  7. Break apart beef, stir to mix with sauce, and serve.

  8. Can be served on buns or rolls with favorite summer sides and salads.
