Zuppa Toscana with Sweet Potatoes

This slow cooker soup has a bit of spicy kick.

Suggested meat:

1lb ground spicy sausage, raw - use mild sausage for less spice

How to freeze and cook:

  1. Add meat to freezer bag.

  2. Ensure sauce evenly covers meat.

  3. Close bag removing as much air as possible.

  4. Freeze flat.

  5. Thaw overnight in fridge.

  6. Pour into slow cooker and add 8 cups water. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until sausage is cooked through.

  7. ADD 1 cup heavy cream and break apart sausage. Stir to heat through.

  8. Serve with fresh bread.
